Its A Brave, New World In Occupational and Environmental Health

CSAOHN Fall Conference 2011

The past week I attended the California Occupational Health Nurses’ State Conference in Walnut Creek. What a great opportunity to network with nurses dedicated to the health and safety of employees though out California.

Highlights of the conference included presentations on exercise programs, recent regulatory changes, Sub Rosa investigations, catastrophic medical case management, chronic pain and drug management, upper extremity cumulative trauma and outcomes of OHN care.

Thank you to the many vendors who contributed so much to making the conference fun and a success.  Many kudos to the Conference Committee who worked many tireless hours to ensure the conference went off without a glitch.  Looking forward to meeting next year in San Diego. . . .

Sierra Ergonomics has supported The California State Association of Occupational Health Nurses since 1995.  Their conferences allowed me to better understand their needs. I have become more knowledgeable to ever changing challenges they have faced throughout the past fifteen years. Providing field case management to assist with early return to work programs or modifying work stations to create more productive employees are some of the services we provide to this special group of clients.
